Dr. Indira Gautam has dedicated her practice to providing comprehensive care for the entire family focusing on lifelong preventative care and wellness.
She treats chronic conditions such as Diabetes Mellitus, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Thyroid Disease, Back and Knee Pain, and Depression. She also provides care for an assortment of acute conditions such as colds, sore throats, infections, back pain, as well as male health disorders such as erectile dysfunction and low testosterone, and women’s health issues such as perimenopausal symptoms.
After earning two bachelors degrees from West Virginia University in Biology and Sociology and Anthropology, she completed a Pediatric Internship at the University of Pittsburgh, Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. She then completed a Family Medicine Internship and Residency at West Virginia University Department of Family Medicine in Charleston, West Virginia. With an additional certification in Gerontology, Dr. Gautam is also nationally recognized by the Department of Health and Human Service.
Dr. Gautam has lived in Broussard LA since 2003 with her husband and two sons. Her interests include literature, cooking for her family and volunteering. Most recently, Dr. Gautam serves on the Board of the Women’s Foundation in Lafayette LA and on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Academy of Family Medicine.
